Halloween 2008

Halloween festivities lasted about a week and a half this year. It was craziness! The kids loved every minute though. We started out with a trip to Thanksgiving Point with Dusty and Melissa. Ty is still talking about it and wonders when we can go back. His favorite part was playing in the corn kernals. Who knew? Thanks for the great idea Dusty and Melissa!

Next stop Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's party, wich was a blast! They are such good hosts and it was fun to see everyone. Our family is getting so big we fill up the whole house! We took the two little dogs with us too, since they haven't seen the family in a long time. Sierra just wanted to be held the whole time, she was scared to death. Is that how she always is at the family parties Diane? She is so goofy!

The next day we headed out to Gardner Village to see the witches. Ty has been obsessed with the witches at the grocery store so I thought he would get a kick out of this. He loved doing the "witch hunt." I haven't been there in a really long time and it is so cute! If I didn't have the kids with me I would have had a hard time not spending a lot of money. They have such cute stuff!

On to the next party which was the ward trunk or treat. I was shocked at how much candy Ty got at that. He was in heaven! We had never been to a trunk or treat before but it was really cute and really fun.

We procrastinated a bit on the pumpkin carving and finally got it in the night before Halloween. I was bummed I had missed all these pictures and I finally realized that our video camera can take pictures too. HELLO!!!!!! They are terrible pictures, since it has like 2 megapixels, but they are pictures none the less.

I love how focused Ryan is in the background carving his "Go Utes" pumpkin. He was more into it than the kids.

Ty requested his pumpkin have eyes like him, a triangle nose and a happy face with two teeth.

And finally Halloween night. Halloween isn't complete without my moms scones, so we camped out up at Grandma and Grandpas for the night. Ty loved trick or treating. He would run from house to house. He was so excited at one house when he got gummy fish. I was standing across the street and he came running back down the stairs and across the street to show me. He got to go trick or treating with his cousins Summer and Mandy and I think they all had a lot of fun. Thanks for coming guys! Ty got way too much candy but he is good at sharing. Cody got a piece of candy at the first house we went to and he just held it in his hand the rest of the time. He was pretty excited about it.

These are some pictures I got a couple weeks ago when the boys were trying on their costumes. They loved trying them on so much that by the time Halloween came they were a little sick of them. They were sure cute.
