Cookies

For playgroup last week Ty and I decided we wanted to make Halloween sugar cookies. I was talking to him about it the night before and he was so excited he couldn't go to sleep. The thought of cookies, frosting and candies all in one sentence was just too much for him to handle. The kids had a fun time decorating them. Although they never really finished decorating. I gave them each two cookies to do what they wanted with. As soon as they got a little frosting and candy on them, they would lick them off and start over again. Sorry to the parents for sending your children home on a mega sugar high! It was fun though.

Here are a few of our finished product. I thought they turned out pretty cute. Ty wants to know when we can do it again.

Snow or Sun

Last Sunday we woke up to a couple inches of snow on the ground. Ty was SO excited!
It is crazy we can go from wearing shorts to snow in a couple days. I don't feel like we have had a long enough fall. I'm not ready for the snow, so I am happy that this weekend will be back in the 70's. I hope this slow progression to cold keeps up. I can handle it this way. I love the snow, but I'm not ready for it yet.

After church, Ty insisted we build a snowman. I was making dinner for my moms birthday that day, and didn't have much time, but we had to hurry and throw this together. Good thing we did because about an hour later the snow was gone.

Best Friends

I have been waiting for this for awhile. I was so excited to have two boys so they could be little buddies. It started out a little rough. Ty wasn't sure he liked this new baby coming in and stealing some of his attention. He really didn't like sharing. He wasn't sure how to be soft and nice to Cody. Luckily, that has changed. Now these two are inseparable. I love it! Cody follows Ty everwhere he goes. Ty loves having a partner in crime. If Ty laughs, Cody will laugh. Sometimes they get into little laughing fits and no one knows what they are laughing about. I caught them teasing the neighbor dog the other day, and I thought it was hilarious. They both thought they were so tough until the dog got too close.
