My Very Polite Little Boy

Ty has always been really good about saying please and thank you. He is just a really sweet boy. Lately he has become so kind (not to little brother Cody mind you) I find myself laughing because it just isn't something I expect from a 2 year old.

I first noticed it a few days ago when we were at the pharmacy getting a prescription for Ty's ear ache that just won't go away. After paying for it, I told the clerk thank you. As we turned around to leave Ty yelled back at him, "You're supposed to say you're welcome." I hurried away hoping he didn't hear. The days following I noticed him saying please, thank you and you're welcome a lot. Even when it wasn't necessary.

Then today, he was out of control. This was the conversation we just had.

Me: Ty, we need to clean the living room up before we eat lunch.

Ty: Okay, great!

Me: Ty can you take this toy to your toy box?

Ty: I sure can mommy. (I have no idea where he got that.)

Me: Thank you.

Ty: You're welcome. I want to turn on the vacuum.

Me: Okay, can you go unwind the cord?

Ty: I sure can mommy.

Me: Thank you.

Ty: You're welcome.

What? He has given me all of those answers before, but not overloaded like that. It was too cute. What a sweetheart. Hopefully he keeps it up. I like those answers. Much better then the "NO" I was getting a few months ago.

Where's Cody?

Can you see him? Ha ha! Obviously we got the helmet. I chose the camo pattern because of Uncle Trevor. Any time Ty wears camo, Trevor says "Where's Ty, I can 't see him." I thought maybe we could pretend we don't see it. Although, I have to say it is kind of cute, in its own helmet kind of way. Today has gone pretty good. Granted we have only had it for a few hours, but he doesn't seem to mind it too much. We have to build up to wearing it all night, so I will let you know how that goes in a few days. Get used to seeing him like this, it is going to be a long 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. My camera is working again! YAY!

Best Buds

We just went swimming with Ryan's brother Dusty, his wife Melissa and their cute little girl, Summer and it was so much fun! Ty and Summer are so cute with each other. They both have perma-smiles on their face the whole time they are together. They are constantly laughing. Melissa and I have been getting the kids together a lot lately because they play so well together. We had Summer come over a few days ago and they were being so funny I had to get a video. I am so happy I got this on my computer before my camera quit working on me. I have a bunch of stuff I need to get on here, but I will have to figure out what is going on first.
They crack me up! So cute! This had been going on for a while before I got the camera too.

Love Day Celebration

Valentines Day comes during an awful time of year. Tax Season. Boo. We don't like tax season around here. We are lucky if we get to see Ryan at all. So we celebrate the best we can, but it doesn't include any of the fancy schmancy stuff. Ryan left for work at 5 that morning (AAAAHHH poor guy) so when Ty and Cody got up we opened their present without him. Ty was so excited. We had been talking about it for a few days. Ty would tell me he loves Mommy, Daddy and Cody the best.

Ty was very excited about the gummy fish in his bag, and the blue's clues paint book. Cody just liked the wrappers and balloon. A little later a beautiful bouqet of flowers arrived from my cute little hubby, he really outdid himself. (I have a picture but my camera won't work right now.)

After naps Ty, Cody and I drove up to Ogden to give Ryan a "heart attack". We decorated his car with paper hearts and candy. Unfortunately, he caught us in the act. It was still fun and Ty LOVES going to Daddy's work. That night we had spaghetti for dinner, because it was red and Ty likes it, and went to bed. Pretty exciting huh? It actually was a great day. It is fun to spend time showing one another how much we love each other. So to my sweet husband, I love you! You do so much for our family and we appreciate it more than I can say. Keep up the good work, only 2 and half months to go!

What a Beautiful Head!

That's what I think anyway. Doctors don't agree with me. After much deliberation, and a couple different opinions, we have decided to go ahead with a helmet for Cody. His head is a little flat in the back, despite my many efforts to avoid it. I thought now that he is on his tummy most of the day and night it would start to get better, but after two months there is still no change. :(! So yesterday we went in to get him fitted and by the end of next week he will have a very stylish, very expensive piece of head gear. He will have to wear it 23 hours a day for 3 months! I am so scared about how he will handle it! I can't imagine sleeping with a big helmet on my head! Poor little guy. So pray for my little Cody that he will like his fancy hat!

One More.....

I promise this will be my last post about my pictures. I just had to share this one more thing. It is too cute!

This is what she calls a storyboard. I think they are so cute! Oh and let me apologize beforehand to my brother-in-law Jacob for yet another nude photo. How can you not love that little bum?

P.S. If you have read Jacob's post about my prized pictures let me just throw it out there that Jacob won't turn the heat on and only screws one light bulb in in their house to save money, so paying more than $1 for pictures would be too much.
